Frequently Asked Questions

What are your drop-off and pick-up times?

You may drop off or pick up pet off anytime during normal business hours. We also offer nighttime pickup and drop-off by appointment (during nighttime walks every day of the week).  Note: If you pick up your dog or cat before 1 pm you are not charged for that day.

 

What are Debbie and Earl's (the owners) experience with animals?

The Richbarts could be described as dog fanatics. Debbie and Earl even had dogs in their wedding as bridesmaids & the ring bearer. Debbie has over 45 years experience in grooming dogs. She has also been involved in rescue organizations. Debbie and Earl have 3 dogs and three cats of their own!

 

What shots are required?

We require that you provide a veterinary record for Rabies , DHPP (Distemper) & KC (Bordetella) vaccines.  All shots must have been administered at least 10 days or more before boarding.

 

Do we take dogs that are not Neutered of spayed ?

  We do not take any male dogs that are not nuetured after 1 year of age. For our female guests we do not allow anyone of our guests that are in their cycle. 

Do we take new dog grooming customers ?

Currently we are not taking new grooming customers as Debbie has been grooming for a very long time and is starting to groom less. 

Can I bring my dog's medications?

Yes, Debbie is a registered nurse and has much experience with pet medications . There is a $1.00 surcharge per dose.

 

Can I bring my own food?

Absolutely, we serve holistic foods here in the kennel, but you are encouraged to bring whatever food they are used to in order to maintain continuity in their diet. We can refrigerate and reheat your pet's food as well.

 

Can I bring treats for my dog?

Absolutely, you are welcome to bring any treats that you would like for your dog. We also have holistic biscuits for the dogs staying here. However, it is our policy not to give dogs white rawhide while they are staying here as it can be a choking hazard.

 

Should I bring my dog's bowls, beds or blankets?

We have plenty of bowls and blankets for your pet. However, you are welcome to bring anything that you feel may help your pet to be more at home. If you choose to bring beds, bowls or blankets please either label them or remember exactly which ones you bring. We are constantly trying to keep your pet in a clean environment and as we wash their blankets they can easily get mixed up with our blankets if they are not labeled.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

During the holidays, as well as during the summer months we may require a $60.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve your pet's space.

I'm going to be leaving or arriving back from my trip outside of your normal business hours. Is there any way that I can get my dog?

We try to be as flexible as we can. In many cases, If you make arrangements ahead of time we will be able to meet you at night when we come back to walk the dogs.
